The BBMP along with the State Election Commission organised an event as part of a campaign to create awareness among young voters, at the Central College auditorium on Tuesday 18th Aug 2015.
Mrs K Lakshmi Lecturer Department of Economics attended the same along with two students Farheen Taj S and Ayesha Tabassum of II B Com . Videos were screened at the end of session indicated that the campaign “ Together We Vote” was the success with the college going crowd which focused on the importance of Voting and the need to be proactive
Today 19th August 2015 student awareness program was held in our campus Madam Lakshmi and Farheen Taj S student of II B COM shared their thoughts created voter awareness amongst students and urged them to force their parents, neighbours and siblings to vote for a clean ,green and safe Bangalore . The Entire exercise was done to increase the voting percentage in the polls and to provide Bengalurians the best infrastructure and amenities
Professor Sabiha Masroor spoke on the importance of the Upcoming BBMP elections which is a turning point where our vote can help build a well-governed and truly smart city, and appealed to students to ensure that they carefully assess the candidates for the BBMP election and vote for clean and honest Candidates
