As internet touches almost all aspects of everyone’s daily life. Students were made aware of the many technology threats they face each day and the dangers that come with being online and things that need to be done to make sure they are protected from cyber threats. Students were made to understand that they are most essential line of defense against cyber threats like spam. phishing attacks, etc and must verify the identity of individuals before giving out information or reply to messages
The intent was to provide knowledge to protect information systems and sensitive data from both internal and external threats
Mr Hamza Hussan while highlighting the scary cybersecurity news that dominated headlines constantly this year reiterated a handful of best practices that one can protect from attacks like keeping antivirus software updated, usage of strong passwords, must never put sensitive personal information online, and exercise extreme caution when clicking links or downloading attachments
